The Porsche 944 S2 is the most exciting model. The Porsche Classic partially restored the late model.

This is a Porsche that is still affordable, despite being a member of the classic model. But prices have also risen in recent years. A cool sports car with all transaxle models, 924, 944, 968, and 928 series glass domes, with long bonnets and pop-up headlights, captures contemporary designs nicely.

Stylish and exotic. The beautiful 944 will be more prominent than the 911. Of the various 944 models, it's worth trying out for a variety of reasons. Between 1988 and 1991, less than 9,400 coupes and less than 7,000 cabriolets were manufactured and delivered worldwide. Late models with front airbags are especially valuable. Second, the 944 S2 is equipped with a 3.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 211ps, which is an absolute technical highlight. The turbocharged engine requires a certain engine speed to overcome the turbo lag and therefore has better drive performance than the 2.5-liter twin-valve turbo engine.

Third, the price is low. Even a clean vehicle can be purchased for less than 30,000 euros to about 45,000 euros. For those that haven't been restored, you can buy them even cheaper and add value by partially restoring them. And that's exactly what the Porsche Classic did in the 1991 Porsche 944 S2, which is here. The purchase price was 18,500 euros.

Porsche has been deliberately looking for the 1991 944 S2 since last year. Airbags were needed in a classic car because safety is also important. The 944 S2 shares an airbag steering wheel (standard equipment from February 1991) with the 964, 928 S4 (optional), 928 GTS, and 968 (CS also optional). The heavy airbag steering wheel gives a firmer steering feel, unlike the thin four-spoke steering wheel that came from the 944 S2, 924, and 911 G model eras. Air conditioning and Targa roof were also essential.
